J. is a fifth-grade teacher, married, and the father of a baby girl a few months old. J. loves his job and practices it conscientiously and confidently. "After teaching today's knowledge, you must think about tomorrow's. You don't prepare a lesson for thirty students, but for each one. A child learns at their own pace, in their own way, according to their desire...", writes the narrator. It should be noted that the author of this first novel, Julien Fyot, is himself a school teacher.
